Think they're trying to avoid Verlander/Sabathia getting rained out of a start. Still, it's almost unfair to hitters to have those two out there in a monsoon.

No Joe Buck or McCarver though

I thought it was funny that the announcers never once mentioned that Verlander had to get 4 outs in the 1st. Or that he didnt seem to throw a single pitch that actually was inside their little strike box. Instead they said stupid things like Inge would have thrown home in the 1st inning of a regular season game after bobbling the grounder hit to him. Really?

No way they can finish this game tonight. Well, not if they care about people actually watching it or Verlander and Sabathia pitching more than like 40 pitches combined.

Tigers got kind of hosed the way that shook out - probably should have stopped the game mid-inning. The last couple at-bats were basically impossible for the Tigers.

Usually Darling is alright, but all 3 of them were awful early in the Yankees game. Starting with calling the pitch Young hit for a HR, it was a slider and not a fastball. Then not even considering that Caberera didn't have a clear throwing lane to attempt to get Granderson at second on the fielders choice. Then the Inge play.

All 3 of them were brutal.

3 men in a booth does not work in ANY sport. The Thursday night college football booth is obnoxious with Jessie Palmer and Craig James battling it out for airtime. Two crappy commentators does not equal one good one. MNF is a debacle at times. Jaws is okay. Gruden is okay. The two of them together is too much. Sunday night baseball made a big mistake going to the three man booth. I am not a fan of Joe Morgan (arrogant ass), but watching a Sunday night game in the past had kind of an old school feel with Jon Miller and Morgan.

Too many voices trying to be heard, too many stories and opinions getting shoehorned into a conversation. Sometimes it's okay to let it rest for a couple seconds and let us watch the pictures and heard the sounds of the game.
