![]() Washington monument has tilted according to fox news. I also understand that because of the dense rock on the east coast it is felt further than an earthquake in California but the 200 mile radius surrounding the epicenter suffers far less damage.

![]() The roof started to cave. I quickly ran outside where, just as quickly, 4 oak trees fell on me.
Fortunately, I had time to don my emergency safety helmet before running outside. I thought I was safe so I removed it and surveyed the damage when a tornado jumped out from behind one of the trees still standing and ran me over. I have multiple serious injuries, but George Anderson said not to worry--I am OK. Just a little tilted....and blinky. |

![]() I was up on the 5th floor of a building. Never felt anything like that before, though I've also lived on the East Coast my entire life.

![]() My wife and I are up in Virginia, and along with my sister were in DC today when this quake hit. We were touring the Newseum, and when the quake hit were in a 4D film, in seats that moved for the movie, and then we felt extra movement but thought it was part of the film! That's when the lights went out, and alarms started sounding and they started evacuating the buildings. No cell phone service was available, everyone was standing around trying to get a signal on their phones. All up and down the streets were covered with people from the buildings. The subway trains were running at a reduced speed of 15 miles per hour, so it took us awhile to get home. But we survived. We only found out what was causing all this from a man on the street, thank goodness it wasn't another terrorist attack! This was the highest recorded earthquake since 1897!

![]() I was taking my afternoon nap...slowly rocking in my rocking chair.Suddenly..it started to shake violently.I snapped awake.By the way it was rocking,I thought it wanted to chair dance with me.
When the table wanted to cut in, I knew something was askew. I raced to the phone and dialed 191...then 119...then then 922....there was too much shaking going on. I ran outside and climbed onto the roof with my chainsaw so as to cut a hole into the roof. Then I said..."Hey goat --hold it!! I already am on the roof!!" Dyslexia attacks. Anyhoo.....I then started twirling myself in rapid circles with my arms fully extended ,trying too mimic a rescue helicopter....thought it was part of Morris' Code. All it accomplished was bringing in several hundred birds who landed on the roof...laughing at me in a hysterical way. From the latest reports...I think I may have overreacted |
