Odd number contest clyde. After this series the Tribe will be 1,3, 5, or 7 games back of the Tiggers. I'm gonna be the eternal optimist and say they'll be 5 games back.

Put me down for 3...they love to make us be happy, only to yank out the rug.

Evidently it still rains in cleveland, updating box score still says 2nd inning. Maybe we'll see lots of Herrmann tonight. that can only mean good things.

They're back to it, both starters out.

We got Durbin.

Both the Injuns and Tiggers could have scored heaps more runs before the rains came. Probably a blessing that Master-fister-son were both removed after the rain delay.

Chad Durbin pitched 3 shutout innings. That's just something you can't type every day of your life. This thread is a historical record, therefore it had to be entered.

You win the "i know my tribe the best" prize. A Tom Veryzer bobblehead. People talk about the curse of Colavito and that Tiger trade for Harvey Kuehn, but it was the Charlie Spikes to Detroit for Tom Veryzer trade with the Tigers that is a curse you never hear about...they haven't won a championship since trading Spikes either.

I thought today was to determine Ohio State's sanctions, if there were to be any imposed on top of the self punishing idiocy.

Now I read it will take 6-8 more weeks to find out....AND supposedly the ncaa is off on another investigation of Ohio State.I don't know if that 2nd one is official because I see where evpn is reporting that deal...and they seem to have their own personal vendetta against Ohio. What a mess lots of money creates.

He was part of the package that came over from the Yanks for Nettles. The early 70s were unbelievable building the Yankee late 70s dynasty.

yes, sometime in the mid 80s....I think '84 maybe. Tribe win um tonight. Bat able to pitch on 2 days rest with great effectiveness, unfortunately he couldn't get that last out in the 8th so another no decision. Bullpen dominates again. 16 and a third shutout this homestand. Santana gets the big hit again. LaPorta gets a lucky bloop hit to win it. He still stinks bad.

The 7's are out. The 1s, 3s, and 5s are still alive! I still like my 5...I was putting last night into the automatic win slot with Masterson then the rain came but we got lucky. You are very optimistic going with O-Bald-O or the Exhausto/Verlander matchup.
