Even as the quality of racing has slipped noticably over the past few racing seasons, the daily Belmont fare is surpassed only by Saratoga's.

Opening day of the spring meet is one of my favorite racing days of the season. Moving from Aqueduct to Belmont in early May mirrors the change of seasons. You feel rejuvenated by Belmont after a dreary winter and rainy April at "The Big A."

"Big Sandy" dseserves its moniker: Beautiful Belmont Park!
I can't agree more though Toga is as close to heaven I've ever been. Steve B. will never rest and that's why we all love him.....

My Heaven
Not to mention Sciacca with his golf cart, Frankel stopping by for a 'samwich' and the rest.

Umm guys?

Does it make you really wanna quit betting once all the Grade 1's go away for the year? Have fun betting your 6-horse fields all year. What I mean is... I do so much better betting 5k **** claimers at Mountaineer, and there's an endless supply of those races. So why do you guys pack it in for the year?

For betting purposes there's still plenty o' action. Sorry it doesn't involve Bernardini.

But Dellinger- If you're taking the winter off after the BC, have a good winter and pop your head into the board to say "hi" from time-to-time. Lata
