Loved C'est La Guerre's run in the Chairman's Handicap - his best performance in a while.

My Kingdom of Fife? Really?

Black Caviar should bring things back to normal here.

Easy!

But congrats to Hay List as well for a great run - had the rest of the field covered by five lengths.

He's extraordinary and he didn't have to win to show that. He already has.

One of the most exciting horses in training... I hope my friends in NZ are proud cause they should be. He's not going to win them all and the occassional loss is overshadowed by what he's already achieved.

Besides winning he's brought so much attention to a part of the racing world that never gets enough of it... a big star from a small country he's larger than life and I think maybe his loss makes him even more beloved to some.

Cheers to Black Caviar for another breathtaking win but cheers to Jimmy too.

Very nicely said. Thanks.

It was really disappointing at first when Jonathan started asking Jimmy for the effort and that sprint we know so well just wasn't there.

But it sounds like he's had enough of racing for a while - he's been in training since July, and he had his first race of this campaign in September. The tank was empty. They're not machines. He's done so much this season, it's not surprising he's tired.

He's going to have a few months off now and come back next August/September.

And congratulations to the winner, Shamrocker - fillies don't often win a Derby, so that was a great performance.
