Not according to his popularity ratings (sky high), and job approval. Compare those to Reagan, Carter, Bush I & II at the same points in their Presidency. He's had more thrown at him than any other President, with a completely obstructionist opposition party. He's doing just fine. You don't have to like him, or his politics, but by any objective measure he's accomplishing the majority of exactly what he said he would. Duped? Out of what?
