She hit Game on Dude to try to get him to float Candy Out coming into the stretch. Believe me, she's hitting left handed to try to come out n' make it tight on the chalk horse. Lets not kid ourselves, this happened because she wanted to make it tight. On the turn, look at the space between her horse and T Candy. Where went that space? I'll tell ya where it went. She ate that space up coming out of that turn. She hits him left and floats out (just as they are coming out of that turn.) That's why there's no room for any shifting about. She didn't have to come out much in the stretch (for there to be a problem.) She had already made it incredibly tight. This bitch mainly caused this trouble by being reckless coming into the stretch. It was more than Joel expected, and Victor had already committed to not giving him any room. Indian Charlie is correct about her coming out, but it's mainly as they came into the stretch. People aren't seeing what she did. I consider what Victor did to be borderline race riding. What she did coming off that turn is really reckless.

You had a tough beat there Scav - not only the fouling - but if any jockey around now could carry a tired horse home in a dirt route - Victor Espinoza would be the one I'd want. And Chantal - not so much.

Maybe I'm biased because I hit the race but my first reaction was he is coming down for coming in on Twirling Candy. When I saw the head on I was convinced I was screwed and didnt even look at the replays again. But once it took so long I finally looked at the replay showing the horses coming into the top of the stretch from behind. From behind it appears TC turned into the right hind of GOD causing him to turn outside giving the head on the appearance of GOD causing the foul. I'm taking the rear view replay and RUNNING!!!!!!!!

The non DQ cost me the late P3 ($3) and late DD ($10). Agree it was tough but it is what you get when you wager out there. Althought I'll say that I think Phil said it best that after watching it a million times, there is really no right answer and I guess the safe call is to not touch it.

And quite honestly, Setsuko didn't really deserve to get put up with his hanging tendencies, he was loaded for bear on the final turn and just didn't want to pass a horse that got knocked around twice, had incompentency on his back, and was close to a pretty fast pace. He'll never win.

At least the R3/R4 DD at Parx was the overlay of the century, 1/5 over 5/1 pays $32, that helped the day along pretty well.
