Yep. He badly wants into that E.U. (he has tried damn near everything.) Probably, the only reason he ever started blowing Iran, was so he could offer (the E.U.) to stop blowing Iran.

Sarkozy n' Merkel don't want them. They won't get in until they stop being cozy with Iran. Really, the Turks don't have enough in common with the countries in the E.U.
