![]() Not at the drop of a hat, but it can be done and in a not so long amount of time. And that's precisely because they aren't owned by CDI and therefore cannot be held hostage. The only reason they stay at Calder is because they want to stay at Calder. The terms of staying there just changed (or maybe not) but they still have a choice. They are not being forced to do anything. They do what they do by choice.

![]() The difference being that Calder isnt offering any races presently. I'm sure if NYRA shut down for 3 months they wouldnt have an issue with shipping to Philly Park during the downtime.

![]() I agree it sucks what do you want for free? you want freedom it costs so go to Palm Meadows/Payson's and rent space. It sucks but it is well within there rights if horseman were aligned they would enter when Calder opens and just repeatly scratch once a week
|

![]() But it isnt free. Horseman dont have to pay stall rent but if Calder closes the backside or charges stall rent their tax rate goes up something like 5 times what it is now. So the price of keeping the backside open is far less than the price of not having it open.
