It is even easier to sink ships in a region than to shoot aircraft out of the sky that is unauthorized in a "No Fly Zone" situation. The pirates would be outgunned and due to our military superiority, I expect almost no casualties on our side.
So you and I would be paying for this extra effort? Do we lose our right to bitch about Obama putting us further into debt by us funding this extra curricular Military activity? Or is the cost a drop in the bucket in the big picture? How many drops until the bucket runneth over?

Terrible thing that happened, but those are dangerous waters. The U.S. Navy, unfortunately, has more important things to do than escort pleasure boaters who know the risks associated with traveling in that area.

We'll just cut welfare to pay for it.

What do you think the consequence of cutting welfare to be?

Some Americans will do the jobs that Liberals are giving them an excuse not to do.

I didn't say cut it completely, just weed out the scammers. I know some people need help. There are more "Octomom" types than people want to admit.

That's why that Second Amendment is there. Gun up and protect your family and your stuff.

Are you saying that people on welfare are more prone to engage in criminal activities? That's sure what it sounded like. I've had my income cut off more than once and I didn't turn to a life of crime.

Nonsense. The unemployed causing the elevated rate are workers - not freeloaders. Don't apply what makes up the base unemployment rate to everyone who is unemployed now.

I wasn't generalizing. I was very specific. SCAMMERS. Welfare is not "Unemployment Ins".

Why, all those hundreds of thousands of people will magically and suddenly start working, at those hundreds of thousands of unfilled jobs that are making the classified section of the newspaper five inches thick.

There are so many jobs available today, people are offering premium wages in an attempt to be competitive with trying to keep a house, a car, and a family of four alive on $280 a week. Nobody wants to give up that gravy train.

And this is where the topic of death panels should come into play. If a person refuses to get fixed when they go on welfare then they should be put to sleep.

But like any serious issue in this country it will be swept aside. The next generation can deal with it.

Isn't that right, you old f.ucks? Thanks for the energy policy. GG
