Read Danzig's post and then you'll understand what I said.

The point is there's nothing wrong with wrestling against a girl in a competition. There was no reason for him to forfeit and the religious reasoning is hilarious.

It's just so ridiculous. Feminism is a parody of itself at this point.

I read what she wrote and I read what you wrote and it looks like you're both inferred something that wasn't really apparent from the story we're getting. There was nothing about whether he was concerned about winning or losing, nothing about him or his family caring what anyone thinks, just the religious objection. Based on their respective records this year, I can't imagine he backed out because he was afraid to lose.

I agree with Nick's take. I think he should be commended for standing up for what he believes. I would imagine that a likely state wrestling title would be hard for a boy his age to pass up.

Regardless of what we believe, good for him for following through on what HE believes.

This kid is so uptight he's doomed the first time he ever does have that "familiar way," of contact with a female.

Yeah he's uptight. If he wrestles her and she's injured because of it the feigned outrage brigade will be out in force for the kids head.

It's a no-win situation for him that shouldn't be a situation to begin with. He's in this situation because people are bullies and humongous as.sholes who push the rules to the point of absurdity.

Boys and girls should not be wrestling each other competitively. It's stupid. If she wants to be a big butch and eat mad ***** that's fine.

I actually hope she gets paralyzed and her parents kill themselves over it.

So she's eliminated.

http://www.kansascity.com/2011/02/18...iowa-girl.html

At least she made the news and a boy who had a real shot at winning his weight class couldn't because he was raised right and told not to fight/wrestle women.

And to absolutely no surprise there are people on this forum who support her and overlook how ridiculous it is to have girls wrestling guys in HIGH SCHOOL.

It's like all of you never attended high school and experienced how brutal kids could be to one another.

Just awful people. Awful. You should be ashamed of yourselves.

^^^^ I think one of the girls locked up in CP's basement got loose and posted the above.

I don't support her ... I just wanted to touch her.

Hell, I might even let her win after I've dry humped and raped her with my hands.

Maybe hand her a Bondage style victory with a facesitting pin.

I actually don't care. I was just amused that his religion forbids him to wrestle a girl, but they are a-ok with him wrestling another boy in the equivalent of his underwear.

She's just technically a girl. Ain't like it was a 17 year old Alyssa Milano. Just her against guys with smaller frames, but more muscle. It's the same weight class. What did he say? It can get violent sometimes? You ever watch women's basketball? I think they're more intense than men. That's the only good thing about watching it..... If it's equal weight, and they're pretty much stickfigures, then, I can understand why they allow it. There's a range of genders. These are individuals that are pretty much approaching the center of the gender range. Some of them may have even been born with "ambiguous" genitalia, and had it clipped down to form just female-appearing parts. As you can see, they're competitive against males of the same weight. I guess, to make it even more fair, they can figure out a way to make sure females face someone with the same amount of muscle weight. If you take away at least some of the strength advantage, what's the problem?
