Joel he ran quite well.
He stayed on down the lane pretty well even after hooked.
I have to say that I believe that Scat was absolutely trained with the Champagen in mind, not the Cup. It was their best chance ever to win a grade one, and I'm sure he was trained all the way to win this one.
I'm not saying the other trainers didn't wanna win it, but Nobiz was only making his 2nd start, and Pegasus may not have been wound all the way up.
It oughta be a moot point anyway when CQ starts his run to the lead.
