They should bring him back and campaign him like a champion. Which, to some people on this board, apparently means keeping him in restricted races on the same circuit all year.

Serious question...
With this pedigree, running style, and lowish beyers will there really be a big demand at stud for him? I thought for sure he would be back next year.

Excellent

Maybe they'll actually run her for the BIG money in classic distance contests (Arc, BCT) next fall … or bring her back over to see if she's top class on different surfaces (Met Mile) like that big Cali mare...

The irony of a Zenyatta fan taking shots at Goldikova's campaigns is so comical my brain can't actually process it enough to laugh.

She's the GOAT, ateam … why not stick her in the biggest and richest races (Arc, BCT)???

Well next year she's gonna be a SIX year old mare, so she should just run in a bunch of prep races and prepare for one big shot in November, right?

The Breeders Cup Turf? Look, I know you don't bet or really follow the sport but come on. The Mile this year was so much better than the Turf in terms of quality it's scary.

While we are at it though, by your line of thinking, I hope to see Zenyatta in the Dubai World Cup and Arc next year. Biggest and richest races, right?

He is why I coined the term Zenyattard.

His stupidity is inspiring.

I agree. Even though I am a big Zenyatta fan she is not even close to Goldikova

Still would like both to come back next year

BTW I also think a huge part of Zenyatta's appeal is the style she runs, coming from way off, like a Hollywood screen play would likely be written.

I think many people, especially the common man, do like this. Among diehard fans, I think the "take the race by the throat and crush the spirit of your opponents" types are far more preferred.

This is funny in 5 races for both Blame and Zenyatta before the Classic.

Blame 4 (1st) 1 (2nd) = $1,051,467
Zenyatta 5 (1st) = $930,000

Now lets add Goldi's 5 races before the Mile
Goldikova 4 (1st) 1 (2nd) = $985,495

Who's been running for more money again all year?

I hope you are doing this with the exchange rate in mind. Tell me you are.

Aren't purses in the form always calculated in American Dollars? If not then nope it wasn't.

He won the Clark, Foster, Whitney and Breeders' Cup Classic and ran second in the Jockey Club Gold Cup and Super Derby. There's nothing wrong with his pedigree. Arch gets plenty of useful classic distance runners and throws both dirt and turf runners. His dam and granddam were both six-figure earners and his dam is a half to Archipenko. People who want stayers will most likely love him at stud.

My how a year changes someone's opinion, especially when that year includes a 4-5 campaign and a victory over the greatest horse evar.

Hes better then the Macho Again, Einstein and Bullsbay and they are the 3 best older dirt horses we had this year. With Summer Bird being injured and Quality Road having issues, Blame is right at the top of the handicap division next year.

In America I guess 10f on dirt is the classic distance/surface pairing.

They can't all be great at that though. I mean sure Zenyatta won a lot of 10f dirt races but.....oh wait.....no.....she never even won a single race like that.

Please note:
My ability to like Zenyatta lasted almost 48 hours....before Smoothy turned me into a hater again. His ability to get people to dislike a horse is really quite amazing.

It's just eating away at you that Goldikova's campaigns/legacy are everything Zenyatta's should've been.
