I made no such inference.
When you decide to reread what I've stated, I'll accept your apology.

DTS, I've got no beef with either one of you, but can you explain to me what you meant in your post then? Why would you add the "btw, I hate disguised racism" quote if you weren't saying someone was a racist? Maybe I'm just not reading between the lines today.

Cajun,
That's a valid question.
I started at the beginning of this thread when I responded.
It seemed to me that some held a view, right or wrong, against the decision of the Arabian owners to retire their horse, for their as yet unsaid reason.
There seemed to me to be lots of animous against the Shiek and his family.
Perhaps the posters were mouning the loss of the horse, but it seemed to me that there were some unkind words said.
I think some read my posts the wrong way. I didn't accuse Black Throated Wind of being a racist.
I also will miss seeing Bern on the track. Hey, he's not my horse.
If Black TW thinks I have an alliance with S2S...well, he can think what ever he wants to think. I think for myself, and speak the same way.
I didn't accuse him of anything.
So, if you go back and read this thread from the beginning, you might find that there have been a few that criticized the Marktoums for their decision and vented their disapproval in a way that I find offensive.
I hope that answers your question, and wish only peace for everyone.

Fair enough...

I appreciate you being candid with me. I didn't see things the same way, but that's why they say, "opinions are like a$$holes... everyone's got one."

I do think that it sucks that he won't be racing next year (IF in fact, this is true.)

The problem is the poster you distinctly responded to had singled me out as a racist ( I am still waiting for him to either back up what he said or apologize...neither of which that foul vermin has done ). Thus, my inference was hardly surprising.

I, too, think that someone who finds what the Sheiks do objectionable, simply because they are Arabs, is racist. But, I wouldn't expess that opinion to someone who called me a racist with no cause, while agreeing with them.

Not really surprised that this horse will be retired after the BC. They are just doing what everyone else is doing. Yeah, they don't need the money, but like someone said, maybe they are looking to breed their own TC winner.
As for this "racism" crap being bantered about here, if any of you that think what was said was racists, you need to visit the Keeneland Sept. sale on the first 4 days of the sale. The terms "F****** Arabs" and "F****** Irish" are quite commonly heard among other buyers and even onlookers. My, my there are many "racists" running around Keeneland.

Blackthroatedwind,
Honestly, I meant no offense to you.
I appreciate to your insights to racing.
If you have issues with someone, do me a favor, ok?, don't include me in that.
I have no problem with you.
If you took something differently than I intended, well, thanks for letting me explain.
Peace.

I understand where you're coming from, and while I think you should be careful about agreeing with posters who have just indefensably called another poster something derogatory, I understand that you were not necessarily agreeing with his disgraceful and unfounded accusations directed towards me.

I appreciate your attempts to clarify the situation.

I came to this thread a bit late ... but ...

... let me just tell you that the poster who called you a racist is himself an Arab who sees everything through a race-oriented prism.

If you said "the sky is blue" ... he'd call you anti-Arab because it was nighttime over Arab countries.

Everyone on this forum knows you as the honorable gentleman that you are ... please don't allow one race-crazed poster to get under your skin.

I'm a pretty good natured guy but you'll have to forgive me for assuming that someone who agrees with a poster who calls me a racist, with no caveat that perhaps he was out of line with me, is inferring that he also agrees I am a racist. If you fail to see how I would infer that from what you posted, to the other poster, then it is really you that needs to reread your comments to that piece of filth.

I could make a sick analogy, but would prefer not to as I think you honestly don't understand why I took offense to your post, but I will say that were I to simply agree with a poster here who referred to you as something objectionable I don't think you would be out of line with me if you were pissed at me as well.
