Every time Sanchez dropped back I left out a sigh of relief. I told Scavs I thought LT would have 200 yards alone today. They were right to keep trying the screen, but then abandonded the running game so much they couldn't even sell that.

41 passes and 28 runs on a windy day with our caliber of backs in a game we never trailed by more than one score is just unfathomable. That's his MO though, always trying to reinvent the wheel rather than going with the logical gameplan. Rex has to be fuming. He talks all season long about 'ground and pound' and then yesterday, he gets that goddamn circus from his OC. Time for the big boy to put his foot down.

It seemed to me that the holding penalties caused them to abandon the running game. Also, it's not like they were running effectively. Very telling words from Nick Collins after the game, who said GB came in to stop the run, and force Sanchez to beat them (not surprising). He also said the Jets were very predictable with the plays they ran off of certain formations. That needs to be addressed.

I've never seen Jericho Cotchery play so poorly. I think he dropped more yesterday than in his entire career.

The 2 interceptions were strange plays, both completely botched by Tripplette's officiating crew (also not surprising).

It's hard to run effectively on 2nd & 10 esp. when the defense knows it's coming. Pass/run, pass/run, pass/run, completely unnecessary end around, etc. It was a disaster. The running game wasn't super effective, but running is something that needs rhythm to work. Schotty ran the ball on back-to-back plays TWICE all game. Unacceptable.

This is not meant to be a knock on LT, who has been great so far, but Shon Greene isn't on the field enough, in my opinion.

Was it just me, or did Santonio Holmes get benched for most of the 2nd half after dropping that pass? The way Fox broadcast the game yesterday made it difficult for me to see who was on the field.

Yeah, 6 carries for Shonn is a joke. The problem with him though is he can't catch, so LDT's gonna get 90% of the snaps on passing plays. Then LDT has to get some carries as well so we're not telegraphing a pass play every time he's on the field. Holmes should've gotten benched, that was an abysmal drop on a sure TD.

Of all the perplexing things yesterday, I'm not sure why the hell Sanchez shied away from Braylon so much. He fell in love with Cotchery in the second half even after the drops, missed a wide open Braylon earlier in the game and appeared to force it to Cotch in the end zone rather than hitting Braylon on the 3rd & 8 bomb. And the one time Braylon gets one in his direction he makes a great shoestring catch. Weird that he didn't see the ball more.

Stafford is an absolute stud, if he can stay healthy (I know, you can say that about a lot of QBs).
