There is an element of truth here, unfortunately these folks over-simplify matters to suit their agenda. Most folks involved in this sport (owners and trainers) really love the animals and are profoundly saddened when one gets injured, on the other hand, handicappers often appear shallow and uncaring. I think all of us need to remain aware of the sports problems while enjoying the that which is good!

I think that a very high percentage of owners and trainers would run their horse with a fairly serious injury if they thought it would be profitable. I couldn't say that such owners and trainers truly love their horses.
