While the improved U.S. performances of horses that come over from Europe may be the function of class relief, for several, it is the addition of Lasix or the access to firmer ground than races are typically contested over in Europe. That's why in so many of the fall turf races the European form doesn't translate into equivalent American form, and we see the "other Euros" outperform their odds.
