I'm hardly concerned that he won't turn into a good 3 year old as I'm high on him and have been since his first start.
My intention was that I don't think this horse has deserved much of the attention he's gotten so far. If his handlers and pedigree suggest he's a classic distance horse, why not take your time with him, run him in an allowance race this fall, and work him into graded stakes next year around two turns if he develops as much as they all expect him too?

I think he ran very well in the Hopeful so I disagree in terms of whatever attention he's getting. I don't think he's getting a lot - especially within his own barn - but those who like him do see him as a potential Classic horse for next year. I see no reason why ST shouldn't be pointed to the Juvy - though it makes no sense to do it without a prep unless Pletcher (a) really thinks the horse can handle it and will run well and (b) they don't want to kill him as a baby, given his pedigree.

Thanks for clarifying, though!
