![]() I agree that the grass stakes will be run on the turf this weekend. JCGC week has been cursed the past two years with heavy rains (it should be a nice weather day this Saturday, at least), and they didn't take the grass races off the past two years, even though they were run in driving rain and in bog-like conditions.
I think the better question is what does the racing office do with the overnight races for the weekend that were originally scheduled for the turf. Do they leave them on the turf and hope for the best weather-wise, or just card them as dirt races three days out? If the weather foreacst is correct, it certainly presents a no-win situation. |
