Default More Ausable Chasm pictures

Another beautiful racing day, although the outcome was not what we hoped for I think everyone spent an enjoyable afternoon at Belmont. As Nick said, we did get to watch the race in the best seats in the house - the boxes right at the finish line.

Jonathan and I went back to the barn after to visit with her and see Lloyd. She was in great shape after the race, aside from the scrapes, cuts and abrasions she suffered in the race. Ausable was not nearly as tired as she was after her first race. Rosemary dotes on this horse and was diligently treating each and every cut on her legs and feet. Ausable has quickly moved from the aloof filly that came into the barn to a filly who loves attention. While Rosemary wrapped her legs I was scratching her head and neck and she just dropped her head into my hands like it was just too heavy to carry any more.

Lloyd is back at the barn and acting as if he has done something besides sit on a farm and relax. He is as fresh as ever. We also got to meet Rosemary's horse, Leroy whose job is to pony Gary's horses in the morning.

Many thanks to Steve, Gary, Chuck for another great experience.
