Home openers against your biggest rivals are usually let down games. Of course if Miami's entire defense got in a bus accident, missed the game and the punter and kicker had to play DB's you would say the injuries werent really a factor, the schedule was the difference.

winning in minnesota as a dog will relax the dolphins a bit , they won't be flying around as much at 2-0 then if they were 1-1 , it's just human nature

they might win the game , they might just be that much better than the jets an can overcome a less than max effort , but ,they laid it all out on the field yesterday in minnesota , it will be tough for them to replicate that effort

Disagree. All that win yesterday will do is make them hungrier.

Home opener against the Jets, they will be flying. Whether they win the game remains to be seen.

matt ask any pro is in vegas , the 1st games they look at are those where a team has won outright as an underdog on the road and now is coming home and is a favorite.

it's one of the best gauges for picking on a team that won't give a max effort the following week, the dolphins needed every ounce of energy yesterday to win that game from start to finish , they are on a monumental high , they might be able to beat the jets just on talent alone, but matching the max effort from the viking game is almost impossible.

Didn't see the Fins game yesterday, so not sure of the energy spent. But at this point I'm starting to believe that the Vikings just aren't that good.
I understand the theory that you are preaching, but I would buy into it more if they were playing a non conference/divisonal team next week. The fact that it's the hated Jets who they always get up for no matter how good or bad they are, makes me think your theory goes out the window in this case.

Where's the Vikes-Lions game next week? I'd give the Lions an even shot based on what I've seen of both teams so far. Then again, the Lions haven't won at Minnesota since 1997.

Favre is starting to look and play like he's 41.

it's not a matter of how good/bad the vikings will be

the vikings were a favorite yesterday , they played NO in week 1 and played a pretty good game , they have issues on offense no question, but, the dolphins were a dog on the road in a place where the home team wins a high % of their games

as a jet fan , i'm much happier to see the dolphins win yesterday than lose

they are coming home off of two wins on the road , two covers as well .....unless the team they are playing next is a hopless trainwreck , which the jets are not , you are supposed to bet against the dolphins

is it 100 % full proof , of course not , but , it does win more times than it losses
