I'm presuming that's The Thunder Valley casino the article mentions he frequented. It's the closest to Sacramento proper.

A very widely telecast 2005 disappearance there resulted in a guy being convicted of murder, though the body has never been found.

And this link is to a current story about two other women missing since August 25. They were frequent visitors to the Tribal casinos in the same general area.
