Surely you jest. The way the 'real speed horse on turf', Get Stormy, got his lunch eaten on a 'real' turf course up at WO? Did Stormy get tired on that long stretch? ha ha ha

GS doesn't sniff this horse's ass. Unless Josephine is up, of course.

It's nice to watch a race where the jocks are gapped as a result of fast fractions; rather than taking back on their own, the way they do at SAR.

I don't know about him being a threat to Goldikova, but you're crazy if you weren't extremely impressed by today's race. I'm a big fan of Get Stormy, but he's nowhere close to as talented as Sidney's Candy, who is much better than Twirling Candy.

Before his last race none of us really knew who Twirling Candy was, Sidney's Candy was really dull in his comeback, and I defended him and even got bashed on here for it. Was todays performance huge, YES. Do I love him moving forward NO.
Does the 3yr old turf division suck and would I take him over Paddy O'POS, YES.

Hey I still think Twirling can be better believe it or not. That was one dominating performance. Do you think they will ever run them in the same race?

Oh by the way I have been watching Twirling

It's not anything against Woodbine but I really don't take much of what goes on there seriously. The horses that seem to be at their best at Woodbine seem to never really have the same punch in the States. Is Rahy's Attorney a GI horse in America? No. Is Grand Adventure a Grade I/II horse in America? No. Is Society's Chairman? No. What about Sterwins, Marchfield, or Marsh Side? No to those as well. Get Stormy's race in Canada was bad, the turf was boggy and I'm sure that hurt.

I didn't in any way say he was going to beat Sidney's Candy but can he put pressure on him? Sure. The original posts in this thread were about Sidney's Candy being a threat to Goldikova, that's completely different than anything about Get Stormy. Does anyone in their right mind think that Sidney's Candy setting a fast pace on a softer Autumn turf course at Churchill will not set up Goldikova incredibly well? I know I don't.

Tuf is a funny business. All I know is that most of the American horses that go up to WO get their butts kicked. Unless it's Ventura, or some such sort. My only point is that GT wires on less than 'challenging' courses. If he's up to this, then maybe, if he was a horse, he'd wire under adversity. But he's not good enough.

As for Goldikova, it'd be nice if, maybe, she didn't get the best trip in the race for the 3rd straight year in the BC. I know she can run, as she seems to not get that 'special' trip over at Europe but it'd be nice to see her actually have to do some work.

The idea behind being a very good trainer is getting your horses to run under less than optimum conditions. I realize that Sadler is very good at stretching horses out and getting them to handle a distance with very little experience. I also realize that this is contrary to how a horse should be trained -- or, maybe, would've been handled by some of the better trainers of the past, who somehow, weren't able to stretch them out as easily as they all seem to out in California. My point is I don't know what Sadler is doing, or McLaughlin, even, when he stretches his sprinters out. But, I do know that THAT **** won't work when some real running needs to be done. Like, today, for example, when Al Khalil collapsed like a PLUG in the stretch. So, maybe Sadler can pull a rabbit out of his hat and get SC to run as well at CD as he did today at DMR. Of course, he certainly failed 1st time around with this.

The horse got beat by that Skip'n pss horse. That horse couldn't even win the West Virginia Derby. So, don't you think it's odd that Joel just lets a horse (that got a lil late last time) just go as fast as it wants to go? Don't you think he got that confidence from somewhere? Like maybe the trainer told him just get clear, he ain't stopping today. I mean, one of the reasons the horse was able to break the record is they let him run as fast (early) as he wanted to run. For a horse who slowed up late last time, they were pretty damn confident that he wasn't gunna stop today. Just saying. They expect everyone to hit the turf surface change button, and not ask questions. also, a jock change to the top jock. They like to have these 2 factors involved, because it helps give people a reason for a big change in performance.

The performance was one of the best by any horse this year. Macias looked like Sham.

Just once dude, will you at least provide some context when you make one of your posts that make no sense?
