I read that he might be pointed for the Hopeful........

He's pretty speedy, so despite his pedigree I'm not sure how far he'd want to go, but he's a good one.

He'll be infinitely better going longer. I didn't think he was that impressive today, to be honest, but I'd upgrade it a little since he's not going to be a sprinter.

Stay Thirsty is a half-brother to notable plodder Andromeda's Hero and his sire Bernardini never won at less than a mile, so, no, he's not likely to be most effective as a sprinter.

Obviously you wouldn't think so; I only stated that because he's a fast horse......more precocious than most Bernardinis (except for all his turf orses in Europe, lol)

Just curious - Why weren't you overly impressed? Time-wise? Field? I thought he ran very well. Was he dazzling? Maybe not, but I think we both agree he's talented........given his pedigree, I don't need to be seeing him run BSF through the roof.

Actually, I hope that he doesn't go to the Hopeful; is that run Labor Day weekend? Seems pushing it with a horse that's bred to get better as he matures.

Can we get a moratorium on you choosing races for certain horses?

Just what exactly is your problem? I suppose you have always thought that every move a trainer makes is exactly the right move? Good for you if that's the case.

Oddly enough I'm one of those lunatics who actually likes seeing horses run, especially graded stakes caliber horses in graded stakes races. I know, I'm weird.

Right...............too bad Pletcher can't enter this horse back in the Saratoga Special.

What does your comment have to do with mine? You seriously don't think there is such a thing as too many races in a short space of time? Especially with a 2 year old?
