sure, why not. i don't think the terrorists hate us because they are muslim. they hate who we are. after all, this country has a small muslim population. i think it has more to do with actions taken, allies we have, etc.

really? you know, osama bin laden got his start fighting russians in afganistan. i remember reading that he hated us then, but accepted our help because he wanted the russians out. did he fight russia because he was a muslim? no, he fought them because they were invaders. then came gulf one, somalia, and of course we've been israels' chief ally since day one. i think this has more to do with the arab conflicts over the years. if he were a christian arab, i think he'd still hate us, and would still be doing what he's doing.

They hate us because we support Isreal. that is the #1 reason. but the countries are so poor, dont have anything to offer, corrupt governments.. that they use the Muslim religion to recruit new members who are easily brainwashed.

Iran doesn't hate us. Iran's leaders use us as a justification for their behavior. The clerics used our relations with the Shah as a justification to create the anarchy that allowed them to rise to power and hold it.

And is there a greater example of Islamic intolerence than what is regularly said about or done to Israel by Muslims?

Do you hate Venezuela because their leader claims he hates us and has befriended the Iranians? The Iranian people hate their govt far worse than they hate us.

I'm a huge fan of Venezuelan women. Hugo Chavez? eh, maybe not so much. Though he does seem like a big character, he could be interesting to have a few beers with.

Though Venzuelan women make up for the bad things Hugo Chavez does.

And our military is 1000 x bigger & better than Venezuela, so they dont worry me much.

I feel bad for the Iranian citizens. They have no choice in the matter & everything over there is fixed. There is no way that Amedidijan or however u spell it actually won the last election. They called him the winner before half the votes were cast.

now, there's an a-ha moment. change iran to islam. change iran's leaders to terrorist leaders. now, does that help you to understand why i say you can't tar this whole religion? it's the same thing. the press fastens on the few crackpot zealots, and ignores the masses who just want to live in peace.

You can't compare a country and religion. I am not tarring the whole religion. But when the list of terror groups that kill in the name of Islam dwarfs every other brand of terrorism I think there may be some issues that Muslims need to deal with themselves. Hell Muslims kill way more muslims than anyone else in the world.
