Why is it so hard to believe that the Mets can reach the World Series? Who exactly is so good in the NL where the Mets cant rise above a pitching crisis and pull out some games? Aside from the Yankees, they are the only team that can score runs on a consistent basis. The rest of these teams have about as much offense as a Little League team.

You're right Gander, no team in the NL is too good or too bad, any could make the WS. I personally think it's going to be St. Louis. They have the offense and pitching and are playing pretty well right now. The Mets thinned out pitching staff will be their downfall.

Giambi and Sheff arent exactly lighting it up either. What, supplements dont help when the temp falls below 65?

Yankees can't beat Detroit in game 2.

Now they get to try to win having blown home-field advantage.
