Danzig, he's actually had 40 + yrs experience watching and handicapping horses, he has written a book called “Betting Thoroughbreds for the 21st Century.” and was featured in a Q&A in the N.Y Times.

Davidowitz is a widely respected racing writer, which makes his statement even more outlandish as I expected him to show better judgment.

That's fair enough, there are enough that more or less agree with him like Steve Crist. That's 2 that probably have more combined knowledge in the game than probably in this entire room. Well that is hyperbole to be honest but not too far fetched.

The first edition of Davidowitz's Betting Thoroughbreds was an early read when I was cutting my teeth in this game.

People are so quick to dismiss someone without knowing what the guy's resume is, like writing books and even teaching the one and only Andy Beyer certain betting strategies about the game is certainly not a lark, thus his opinion should be respected.

Just when I thought you were starting to see the light when I complimented you on your excellent analysis of Rachel's last race of not moving fwd as much as it may have seemed due to her lacklutre comrades, and backed up by The Crist Blog of a backing up 12.88, (Zen ran 11.60) you say this about Mr. Davidowitz.

I'll say this if I was at the OTB and on one side sat Steve Davidowitz, on the other side sat Brian S Spencer, no disrespect to Brian who do you think I am going to listen to? Right, if Andy Beyer can seek his advice, that's good enough for me.
