Hit the modest tri in the Eight Belles and it was downhill after that. Started a Pick 3 with Mona de Momma, but Atta Boy Roy ended that. Ice Box nipped me out of the exacta in the Derby.

I dont think i cashed a ticket at CD. Only had Ice Box on top in derby. But most important to me for you Calder followers was--TANNERSVILLE WINS!
A family owned horse now 3 for 3.

Had the tri in the Humana but had Informed Decision not nipped Free Flying Soul it would have really paid. Other than that a lot of nothing in the Pick 4's which left me a loser for the day.

Me too. Anybody know or venture a guess as to what the Super Saver/Paddy O'Prado exacta would've paid? I'm guessing $200ish for a buck?

If Paddy and Ice Box were reversed I would be in pretty damn good shape

I think I saw Steve Byk (or a guy disguised as Steve Byk) along the rail as they were leading the horses from the paddock to the track on NBC. Camera went right past his face. National TV, baby!

Never came close in any leg of the multi's leading into the derby and had 5 horses in the derby including Super Saver. None of the other four users hit the board which rendered a boatload of small tri and exacta boxes useless.

Par for the course.

Did terrible on the across the board bets- Stately Victor and the filly and one I'm too embarrassed to even mention. But on the exacta box I used those three plus Super Saver and Ice Box, so I came out a gigantic $25 ahead. Which, on a total wager of $50 is just fine with me. And glad I didn't try any trifectas as I had something against Paddy, because I'm a moron.

That said, there is nowhere more hilarious than an NYC OTB on Derby Day. Oodles of Upper West Siders who clearly never wager, pouring in and loudly demanding, "Four dollars on Dublin! What? No, I don't know the number! What number? Four! Four dollars!" Oh, good times.

I lost every bet

but this one hurt the most

1 super

1,12/1,2,4,8,12,13,14,16/1,2,4,8,10,12,13,14,16,17,18/1,2,4,8,9,10,12,13,14,16,17,18,20

this was a family play where they all pitched in and told me to make a play at this, every one was like pick a baffert and pick a pletcher. But i was like lets go with both baffert horses in case Conveyance goes crazy and wins, but they were all like noo go with Super Saver, i was like I liked him early in the week but he sucks and how can Borel win another one...pshhhh. I talked them out of Super Saver, they talked me out of Awesome Act as the 2nd horse to use on top with lucky, and we ended up on Conveyance as our 2nd horse to use on top. BLAH!!!

note I was at a family, friends thing and 30 people pitched in for the play. Also thought it would be fun since avg super payouts are like 200k for a dollar

I lost my a ss.

I thought - Calvin is going to be on that rail and it's dead. Knowing that you need to get your bets down early... I had Ice Box, Paddy O'Prado, Conveyance and Mission Impazible boxed several times. Exacta and Trifecta and a few Supers and 1 Super High 5. I was convinced that Conveyance was going to run somewhere in the Superfecta. Speed was quitting but only fading to 3rd or 4th.

Saw Paddy O'Prado get leaned on early and didn't see him again until Super Saver had it won. Why didn't Willie have his horse tire on the rail when I needed him to.

Didn't really care for Paddy O'Prado at all. But I played the 10-2-4 tri box because I'm a big Dr Pepper drinker. Ended the day about $500 up.

I'd much rather say I hit this trifecta due to my handicapping savvy. But what the hell, luck works too.

Asked Steve on air for 3 horses that would hit the board in the Derby.....he gave out Paddy, Ice Box and Super Saver and one I forget.

Note to self.......

Ask question off air next year. Price likely to be better!!

[redboard immunity]Atta Boy Roy saved me early - 60.00 win (1:07 flat 3 back???!!) and cashed the ex and tri in the derby in multiples... Got crushed on the undercard and in the late DD .... all in all about 800.00 to the good for the day[/redboard immunity]

I'm sorry. I've been sitting here for five minutes trying to get it. Could someone explain the "Dr. Pepper" angle to me? It flew right over my head...
