![]() very good opinion. I highly doubt she will be retired. highly. what the heck is the point of retiring her off of two close loses when they've been spending the past few months getting her back in shape. She will race another 4 times this year.

Accidentally merged the other thread into the Derby odds one.

Nevermind.
I was really just asking what happened to the RA thread, but now Ateam explained himself. |

Perhaps her reputation was enhanced by beating up on subpar competition last year and being that she matured early didnt have much improvement left?
Either way it is really hard to give her an excuse for todays race. How she was ridden is not a valid excuse. |

I thought Rachel ran well today. She's obviously not the same Rachel we watched last year, cause she won the close one's last year. But she ran a game race. Its not like she ran 5th by 20.

Assmussen saying she's not as quick as last year. Maybe a hangover from the hard campaign. Happy with the way she battled, and acted.
Gave deserved credit to Unrivaled Belle. Classy interview.

Agree.. also left the door cracked with saying she wasn't as fast as she was last year in regards to maybe coming back in a few days with announcing her retirement. I hope not, but I can see where they might want to throw in the towel now.

With the beat today at the hands of a 9-1 does she now call it a career and head to the breeding shed. I witnessed her Woodward and felt she left it all on the track that day. They usually never come back after hitting bottom like that..... great filly for 09 to remember but do NOT want to remember her as one that raced past per her time...Puhlllezzz Mr. Jackson retire the filly and move on...

When you race the Triple Crown trail you must pay the toll. We seen it happen with alot of good 3 yo's

I wish Rachel would have won because that outcome would have been best for racing. That said, I'm tired of the Rachel is better than Zen & Zen is better than Rachel talk. They are both wonderful horses and great for the game. May they both remain healthy and happy and make fast, beautiful babies one day.

There aren't a lot of horses that will even generate this amount of debate, so that is good in itself, no matter what side you are on.

that's the thing, some of us aren't on a side...it's almost like politics!
