So these are mares one of you own? Just wondering how you came up with the costs.

I am merely helping Chuck out with this. There are a couple of different owners involved on the fillies already

I apologize for not answering your 2nd question.

The costs have been figured from two years of numbers from being in business with Chuck.

We have decided that a partner can choose to pay a fixed monthly invoice of $180 per 5% share if they so choose. This will help cut down on the partner writing multiple checks for low sums per month. This number was figured off of the average cost of $3600 per month for one horse. They can also elect to be invoiced from our vendors if they so choose.

The only thing the $180 monthly invoice will not cover is
-- Nominations over $1,000
-- Surgeries
-- Any plane flights (which would only happen for a graded stakes race)

We are very excited in the interest these girls have attracted and looking forward to a successful summer/fall of racing them.

Any questions at all please don't hesitate to PM me or post on this thread.

Hi Tom, thanks for the information I inquired about recently. I have other questions I wanted to ask.

If a horse is taken out of training for say 3 months what are the costs of keeping the horse on the farm compared to keeping her under training ?

Also I was wondering if the horse doesn't pan out as expected as a racehorse and has some value as a broodmare what are the costs of owning her for breeding.

Thank you.

Can you break down your estimated $3600 per month into individual estimated costs, i.e., day rate, vet bill, van bill, etc.

Assume 10% purse commission to Chuck - would that be on all purses or only on top 3 purses?

Any management fees?

Any voting rights or is this a silent partnership?
