Funny you added that as I was going to comment on it too, and applaud Catalano passing this gimmicky event. It's hard to find many horses that go to these 2 races and manage to have a great sophomore season. It's seems to strictly be a money grab. I think you only go to this if you have a juvy you don't expect to hold together at 3 but is in form now... The last 2 years of the Jackpot for instance... 2008 Big Drama (Did fine at 3..) West Side Bernie (Did OK at 3; sold to Godolphin..) Stimulus Plus (What happened to him?) Retap (Who knows...) Terrain (Dead) Skipadate (Never materialized) Valid Message Trinity Magic Three PartHarmony 2007 Z Humor (Wasted talent ruined by Zayat/Sobhy Sonbol) Turf War (Never much horse thereafter) Golden Yank.. (A personal favorite that turned out OK long term) Racecar Rhapsody (Moscow Derby?) Overextended (!!!) St. Joe Cave's Valley (Won a race or two but wasn't what Trombetta hoped for..) Betatron Take the Money Cudjo 2008 Princess (Kind of interesting... Gifts, Jenda and Silk have been OK..) Four Gifts C. S. Silk Smokin Again Loveyou Everybody Just Jenda Seacrettina Phoenician Moon Southern Yankee Garter Belt
