Visually, that appeared to be a perfect example of the re-breaking that we used to see constantly from horses trained by the "usual suspects". Dutrow said the horse ran that way at Calder before he got him (stopping on the turn, then starting up again straightening out). After watching the replays, I certainly cannot verify that. He didn't corner well in his maiden victory, but he sure didn't look beaten at the top of the stretch like he did yesterday.
