He didn't save an inch of ground, wide all the way around, in hand until the top of the stretch, and when asked, EXPLODED, at least that's the way it appeared. Very push-button performance.

Atomic Rain ran well and obviously loves Monmouth but that field was a joke and Papa Clem, the only horse with any quality besides potentially the winner, probably needed a race.

Perhaps this is coming to fruition (three months later):

My vote goes to Takeover Target for surviving his surgery today.

Oh jeez I'll bite and take the Arlington horse.

Reb was awesome today.

He obviously didn't beat much...and I think Gio Ponti was awesome today...but he was open lengths the best in that race given his trouble.

The Secretariat could be interesting.

I have to think any decent Euros that come over will be tough to beat considering the three year old turfers we've seen so far this year. Reb's the U.S.'s best hope I guess. . .

Reb was essentially the only horse that didn't run into the trouble down the lane, besides Albarado's horse who just couldn't last. He has run two good races in a row, might plateau. I won't be playing him back, but that should mean that everyone run to the window on him

Another note, Razo should only be bet on cadillac's from now on. He has really fallen off lately, might have a little to do with Rene Douglas going down but while Giant Oak wasn't his best today, he still gave this horse zero chance, pressed the panic button, if he is where the 2 is, I think he runs 2nd.

Not colic. From Racing Post:

TAKEOVER TARGET'S future is in the balance after he cracked a cannon bone in the Darley July Cup at Newmarket on Friday.

Screws put in, taking him home to recover, and, one hopes, a happy retirement.

GEE,

You should elaborate for everyone on this effort: DEBUTED winning a 2yo stake! Was VERY impressive.

I was at the evolving CRC Saturday, and Game Face was quite dominant winning off by herself effortlessly. Thought Gio Ponti was super good and that Atomic Rain looked sharp.

Looking forward to watching the Gold Cup and Royal Heroine as we were driving back to Boynton from Miami when they ran...

We went to Anthony's for pizza/wings. There's very good Corned Beef around Boynton at Flakowitz.

Apparently a guy named Jess Jackson bought her. And add another $300,000 to the already ridiculous price.
