dude you mean well but the guy hit .467 with a .550 OBP. He was up 20 times and got on base 11. What more do you want him to do? You cant drive in empty bases. And who says the Yankees will be playing in October?

1RBI(on a sac fly,) no extra-base hits...8 men LOB(5 in one game)....So, he walked n' singled a lot, but somehow didn't get those singles with men in scoring position. In other words, he wasn't a difference maker in the post. For 20 mil, he needs to drive in runs in the post.

If there is no one on how can you drive them in? How is it the fault or responsibility of his that the players in front of him didnt get on base? Since when is a guy hitting pretty near .500 not enough? Why is this not self explanatory?

No extra-base hits. No hits with men in scoring position. O.K., there were 8 men on base that would most likely have all come in with a double, or a home run. If you want to see walks n' singles in the post(when men aren't in scoring position,) then wait until stick figure Pierre is at bat.

You cant criticize a guy for getting hits. Period. Especially over 20 plate appearances.

maybe so chuck , but as far as i am concerned , until he proves it to me in the playoffs in the big spot , winning a game , being a difference maker , he still has ???

reggie jackson was not a ??? , he was proven in oak , and was signed as a free agent at at high number - he performed in Oct

dave winfield - complete opposite - he had never been there , and became the 1st $10mm dollar man in basball , he wnet 1-22 in his only Yankeee WS appearance

gales the one sport where a single player has the LEAST amount of control over his teams destiny is baseball. A batter is one in a nine player lineup. A starter only pitches every 4th or 5th day. A closer is only useful when his team hands him a lead. Reggie certainly contributed to those teams but they had a lot of other great players surrounding him. After Reggie left the Yankees how did he fare in World series titles?
