I'm not an apologist for racetracks but it's worth noting that Trakus is very, very expensive.

I don't know man, given how far advanced GPS is, what I assume what Trackus is based off of, the cost has had to come down over the last four years.

The Fatman needs better data
for his Fatcharts.

I think his is a worthy cause.
I would want to lash out and
kill infants as well.

The current chart call system is simply a case of getting inferior data through inferior means.

the whole fat man as a bad guy is played out. This site of "funloving fans of all sorts o' pleasantries" is full of aggressors that seek out confrontation. Fat Man is seldom of that role. When others post false information as fact and then insert JABS for the benefit of the vocal minority peanut galleria... - he usually takes the bait. Usually his response is more friendly than they deserve. He tends to then take undeserved blame for being an aggresor which he is not, or accused of trying to board-cop everyone into boarding at high level horsplayer which he does not.

we have our differences , and he is far from infallible, but i do read his posts and he is good enough that it either adds a new perspective or becomes worthwhile to understand things from his POV

horseplaying is an odd pursuit. In part because it is so private. In chess for example, every move is noted. We can, and do review the great games. Horseracing is a lot more "dark". Peers in chess will literally play each others games. Peers in horseracing are rare.

A generic GPS race charting system is a pretty good idea as a less expensive alternative to Trakus.
Also it's not as though everyone is beating down the door to get Trakus. You would think a major track could strike a deal that includes promotion of trakus.
