I take it you haven't had the pleasure of meeting Bigs in person?

No I haven't had the pleasure. I actually haven't had the pleasure of meeting most of the DT crew.

We'll have to fix that. I'll be in your neck of the woods Thanksgiving week. Nothing like Aqueduct in November.....

It sounds like a date. Who knows, if my wife's family comes over again this year, I might be spending Thanksgiving at Aqueduct.

I see you live in Jersey, I was supposed to stay at a buddy's on the Shore tonight and go to Monmouth tomorrow, but that plan is in jeopardy since my doggie isn't feeling to well tonight. I still may make it tomorrow or Sunday if you will be there, I know Phil is going tomorrow, not sure if he will be there Sunday.
I was hoping to get to Monmouth sometime this weekend. I was actually shooting on Monday. But things are so hectic with the boys around here that I never know until the last moment when I can go AWOL for a while. I totally forgot about the contest at Monmouth tomorrow, otherwise I would have made a play to attend. But now it's too late and not worth the price.
The married guys will understand, it's all about losing a battle to win the war. And tomorrow is not a battle worth fighting for.

In Race 6, what are your opinions of Kathy Walsh dropping the 7 in for half the price she claimed her for? In this case, I have to believe it is a big negative. You'd think since the fillies are only 3, if there was any upside whatsoever, she'd run back at the same level, or even higher than what she claimed her for.

That's an angle I have a hard time playing. If she's trying to steal the race, I tip my hat and let it go. Not to mention that the works are nothing spectaular. I'm tossing.

You don't have to be married to understand, living with them yields the same kind of battles!

The Big A inner played pretty fairly this winter and yielded nice results, and hell, I don't mind the Aqueduct nearly as much in November as I do in March and April after 5 to 6 LONG months!

Don't they run the Fall Highweight on Thanksgiving or the day after?

It is a great weekend, the Grade III Fall Highweight Thanksgiving Day, the GII Top Flight on Friday, the GI Cigar, GI Gazelle, G2 Remson and G2 Demoiselle on Saturday. If I am in New York (that is no guarantee, see my last post), I will definitely be there Saturday.

Mike, I'll plan a get together at the infamous Austins Ale House, when the famous Johanna will be working. Pat can attest to that

Do you happen to know Johanna'a last name or where she's from?

Possible dumb question: The public handicappers keep saying All Set is a new member of the Mullins barn, but the PPs and Twin Spires program say the trainer is Ral Ayers. Mistake on their part, or is Ayers a Mullins underling or something?

Mullins is serving days. Ayers is minding the barn why Mullins is out.

Don't doubt for a second that Mullins is calling the shots.

Ah, thank you. That makes sense. It's kind of like when Gina Stratton takes over for Scooter Davis at Mountaineer every time that rascal gets caught.
