Im not a big Girardi guy either, but really what kind of managing should he have to do with that team.
Pitching is the #1 issue. The entire staff has been very eratic (maybe with the exception of Burnett). And the bullpen has been downright horrendous at times. If they could get that straight, they should be alright.
Get Sabathia dealing, and the others will get brave. Don't know about the closer though. That was ugly. Could be a third more follicly challenged by game time tonite.

He does this ever other year. He gets a tired arm, then they shut him down for 2-3 weeks and then he comes back as good as new. But he is no youngster anymore plus they don't even have a closer in training. Obviously Joba is the most logical, I think he should be in the pen, but they are hellbent on keeping him as a starter. The next most logical guy is Brunney, but he is always hurt too. Things are so bad that they will probably bring in Gagne (he is available, right?) for a tryout next week if Mo ends up on the DL. But you would think that if they keep scoring runs like they are, that the pitching will eventually stablize itself.

I heard on the radio today masking agents were part of the problem, you can only detect what is detectable...and Manny tested positive for a masking agent.

Well, all I know is that he tested with a high testosterone level. That's it. So, they went fishing for "why dat?" They found his Physician gave him something with this HCG. That's a legal drug to give men in this country, but it's not allowed in baseball. If a guy has low testosterone, or low sperm count, then sometimes they are prescribed it (sort of doubt that's typical practice, but.... )What it mainly is really used for is to turn a guys balls back on, cuz steroids turn them off. So, they're saying Manny probably did the roids. Then stopped the roids, and got the HCG to get his balls to make testosterone again. Doc gave him too much HCG. He didn't fight this much. I'm guessing they had more about what he did earlier in the winter. 7mil lost, and no HALL for the individual.

It was a female fertility drug dude. There is no reason for that to ever be in a males system unless he's masking.

Masking means you have something in your blood urine etc. that is interferring with a lab test for a specific chemical. If he had steroids in him(at the time he gave urine etc.,) then HCG wouldn't mask that.

He was cycling off of Testosterone for whatever reason.

Or maybe Manny was not ovulating.
This alternative explaination would
be worrisome for all involved.
