As an editorial in the Financial Times stated yesterday, "Federal Income Tax is a parody of self-defeating confusion".

Try finding the definition of income in the Internal Revenue Code.

Don't have time. Have to go sign returns and check.

These are hilarious. I can't wait for the coverage. There is sure to be a real treasury of awesome quotes, terrible signs, a curious abundance of ignorance and plenty of idiots to go around.

I like paying taxes! I know the Govt. of New York State and the Federal Govt. can find much better ways to spend my money than I can. How's that Salt Marsh Mouse in Pelosi's district doing now with those much needed tax dollars? NASCAR seems to be doing about the same with their extra 120 million dollars of our tax dollars. Still less passing than a 4 horse 4 1/2 furlong sprint.

it wasn't anything like what you described. i met interesting thoughtful people on the train ride in and out of town, and the speakers were good.
the only ignorance was CNN's laughable attempt to cover the event.

They had Glenn Beck and
that Rock and Roll, AK-47 toten
Ted Nugent here in old San Antonio.

I did not hear them speak, but I bet it was good.

Catholic drunk turned Mormon, and a man who really
understands that heavy metal is your friend. The riveting
conservative intellect was out in full force.

She was obviously being confrontational, but that guy clearly has no idea how a TV reporter asking you a question works.

She was not asking for a ****ing dissertation, so I can hardly fault her for trying to get him to say something, ANYTHING, that mattered or was remotely relevant in the span of six minutes since she didn't have all day. If she had to instigate to try to get something out of him, so be it, because it doesn't take a partisan Democrat to realize he was just going to meander along about Lincoln and Liberty without actually saying anything any time soon (hey, isn't that what you guys say about Obama, that he just talks in vague generalities without saying anything of substance....you should totally have some sympathy for her!).

And I'm glad, no snark whatsoever, that you met thoughtful, smart people. I never doubted they were out there. I just highly doubt that they outnumber the idiots.

Did you guys figure out how to reform the tax code?
I would like to hear some ideas on that. What did they
come up with at the rally besides we pay too much in
taxes. (I got wacked this year)

Lets make this thread into a true tea party type discussion.
Since maybe a lot of us just finished doing our taxes and are
pondering/thoughtful types, how
did you guys decide to make it simple and fair?
