Article with mostly old news, but a little bit of updates on how the mares rescued are doing:
http://www.salon.com/wires/ap/us/200...zed/index.html What keeps eating at me is the info that Pargallo agreed to let the Humane Society take 67 of the horses. While I'm glad the horses might get a chance for new homes, him trying to get rid of 60 horses is how this particular incident started, so, assuming he doesn't get banned from the sport, is this actually working out well for him? He gets rid of a bunch of horses he didn't want anyway, and I assume the Humane Society is the one paying to feed the additional ones seized while the legal stuff drags out? Obviously he shouldn't be allowed to own animals, but I just feel really cynical about how it will all end.

[quote=Danzig]i'd imagine they can and will. he has been paranecks agent since he lost his owners license a few years ago-he put the stable in his daughters' names...but now he's out as agent, so they have to get someone else.

Problem with show jumpers is that they are banned from showing/training at shows, but not at home. Paul Valliere was also banned but continues to train horses and riders and he sells alot of very high end horses for big commissions. He just can't go to a horse show sanctioned by the USEF.
