I'd never heard that song before in my life until I had to suffer through daily repeated playings of it in Saratoga.

Not that it's a bad song ... but as a Jew .. I guess I just can't appreciate that singer's work.


'The Night The Lights Went Out In Georiga' is the all-time song with the greatest potential lyrics wise. The name Andy comes up a half dozen or so times in it ... and it starts with Andy - in a bar - telling it like it is. Some poor soul gets framed because he goes off to try and murder Andy only to find him already lying dead in a pool of blood on arrival.
