Good Luck Mike!

I've got 6 runners and will definitely put a bet on the one I don't activate at Trackside Sat. Based on past history, whichever one I don't activate, it wins.

The approach depends on where you are. I think I have the same seven as you...no I have 8. Since the points thing isn't sensitive to odds, you have to take the most likely mindset, unless of course you need to make up a lot of ground and take a horse nobody else wants. Anyway, agree on Captn Candyman. POTN will get points. I'm taking Dead Oak- I mean Giant Oak because I need the points from Illinois. Chocolate Candy has a chance to get points and isn't on a lot of lists so the gamble is in him beating POTN or Pamplemousse which will make up grouind on the field....I have Atomic Rain from a bad choice early on, and I don 't think he has much of a shot...IWR figures to get points one way or another and second in that race is better than the win in the G3 races.

2nd in a G1 only gets you 7 points
winning a G3 gets you 8 points

I'm sure a lot of us are going to have an extra horse or two. I'm tossing Free Country and hoping none of the others get scratched late.

You guys doing any good in this thing?

I tossed Choc Candy from my six... so that's probably the best bet of the weekend.

Not doing anywhere near as good this year (about 1900th overall).

As predicted, throw one out and a different one scratches. The Pamplemousse is out. Too late to change.

That does blow! I did the opposite and left PON to run instead of Pamplemousse, they should let you make changes until like noon or something on race day, that rule could be changed in my opinion.

This points out on a weakness in the rules. I see no reason in this modern age that we can't at least see the scratches, which have all come out well before any of the Contest races
