no that is the point, you can't use a length or two loss to make a blanket statement about a horses class. Of course Smarty could get 12 furlongs.

right, or a nose or 3rd on a biased track.....sun king is a gr 1 performer, smarty could get 12f, albeit not QUITE as well as turd..i mean, birdstone.

sun king, if kept in training (and i see no reason to think otherwise) will get a gr 1 win. eventually....
