No it doesn't ..it just means that they must verify with you that you are asking for a credit card or a loan..it doesn't freeze your credit.

Actually it does....This is why Lifelock is being sued for fraud by Experian, State of New Jersey, and others for putting fraud alerts on consumers(which
can only be done legally by consumer) The paperwork and process to unravel the mess is daunting tosay the least.

I don't know anything about Lifelock and how it works - but if you call Experian and telling them they want a fraud alert on your account- I've had one on my account for over 10 years-it forces the credit giver to call you and specifically confirm your request. I would say over the past 10 years they have found 5 or 6 times when someone was trying to get credit using my name or my address etc...during that 10 year period I have refi, leased a car etc...never a problem. In fact, my own bank had to call me and specifically ask if I was applying for a refi - because I had a fraud alert on my account.

For me it works!

It's good to see you keep up with protecting yourself....most don't know the game, or the perils of Identity Theft

For you Yes that's all Ive got and I try to avoid your endless traps to argue beyond a reasonable debate.

What made me LOL was that we all have a picture ( where its true or not ) in our minds of each other and I really can't see you having a large live savings, much less a credit score to worry about.
