It is possible both horses are hurt. In my opinion Flower Alley has been hurt all along. Funny Cide may have been hurt in the race. I know he had x-rays done last night, but I have not heard anything yet. The Tagg barn moves back today so maybe I will stop by tomorrow morning.

(i.e. - shipping to Canada to win a graded stakes...)

Please don't spread the word about Canadian Racing. As one who struggles with Florida racing we have been bringing afew horses to Ontario for a number of years.
Our MSW run for $60 000 to $66 000. I believe Saratoga is about $47 000. Our $60 000 Cl runs for $73 500. $100 000 Cl at Saratoga is $61 000.
Changing racing venues make the Ontario tracks even better value.
By the way I can bet American money and Canadian and on occasions don't have to be concerned with IRS.
If some have to run for cheaper shipping to Fort Erie is easy and it's kind of nice to know that a $5000 Cl runs for more money than one at Mountaineer. Don't even want to think about what we would get at Calder!!!

So CR and afew others, who seem to imply that Canadian racing may not have the same quality horses, may ruin a good thing for afew of us who don't think sending them to Canada is such a cold deal

Dont get me wrong I like Funny Cide I really really do. I always go back and watch the race replay of the 2004 Derby and Preakness. Funny Cide was a thing of beauty in those two races. I also believe that if Funny Cide got a dry track in the Belmont then he would of won the Triple Crown. I think I mainly am pissed at the owners. I also love Tagg. I had a brief moment with him and he is nothing but first class. I agree with BB, the owners have got to what is right by the horse. I think that they owners should of waited for the General McArthur or even try him in the Kentucky Cup at Turfway. It is so sad to see greed and pride get in the way of a three time Grade I winner.
