Tremendous horse. If I remember correctly he was a question mark going into the race he lost to Talakeno because I think he missed a few days of training with some infirmity. That was a long time ago...

When Manila was beat Jolley blamed it on the heat and said Manila was dehydrated.

Wish I would have seen this thread before I started mine. Wish his races were on Youtube, I looked for them half assed and couldn't find them

He was tremendous.....though sugar coating his loss to Talakeno, in the four horse field Baruch, is a bit much. He should have drowned that horse.

If I remember correctly, he actually collapsed after the race.
