the worst is kind of strong considering that colony. You must of lost some money on that race huh?

Nah....was watching the race on HRTV. No betting action. I just think when a jock is sitting off the pace of a horse who is cutting suicidal fractions trying to stay on the inside is beyond stupid. Rosario asked for trouble and got it....

I think he is overrated and gives many beyond bonehead rides.

There are plenty of better jocks in that colony.

Agreed. Saw the race and it was a poor decision. And yes there are plenty of better jocks there. And he has cost me more than he has given me.

He's horrendous on logical horses. Always does well on shots.

With a gambler for an agent it makes one wonder....

In His defense,I think he is a very good jockey.Sure he makes mistakes, but so do you.Just because the race doesn't pan out the way YOU think it should does not mean he is a bad jockey.

his original point is valid though. sitting in behind a horse you know is going to come back to you without getting position outside of that horse is suicide. Good or bad that was a poor ride

2 things:

1) Please watch the last race today from SA and explain to me how it wasnt a horrendous decision on his part.

2) See #1.

I wouldn't say he's horrendous on logical horses, but he's much better on bombs. Pup's so hard for the Princess, and barely friendly with the Queen.

OK I finally watched the replay of the race here is what I saw Joel Drops to the Rail somewhere around the 5 furlong marker to save Ground nothing wrong with that is there atleast 5 length from the lead horse. from inside the 7/16th pole until he checked out of the race he was commited to the inside, sure it wound up being the wrong choice. But there is No way that was a Horrendus ride. The majority of the time a tired horse on the lead will drift out entering the turn or when he straightens away. I am feel certain if you were to talk to Rosario thats what he would tell you.

I cannot understand all the negative things being said here about Joel he is a good up and coming rider for crying out loud he is only 24 years old. and only 2 years removed from losing his bug(not sure about that one). He is going to continue to improve and make better choices as he gets older. So IMO he is not going anywhere in the near future.

And Vic you are doing a great job with this kid I see he rides 6 of the 8 races friday and 9 out of 10 races Saturday. of those 15 mount in 2 days I see you are riding for 14 different trainers. Keep up the good work

Just curious. What exactly are you suggesting? What is "one" wondering about?

Can I get back to you in a few days? After you compared him to Pujols and Favre I had a facepalm so hard that I got a concussion.

Speaking of jocks and rides.....Solis ride on Spring House.....now that's how you ride a horse. Anyone who says that Solis is washed up....watch the race....the guy can still ride.

I dont see a problem comparing Rosario to Favre........

2008 NY Jets Favre that is......

Really....suicidal pace.....really? You really can't say this horse had a shot can you? Joel is inconsistent but a talented Joc. Just don't bet his mounts and move on....Vic just had surgery so leave him alone.
