Funny Cide and Naughty New Yorker were entered in the wrong race ...
... they belong in the Gen. MacArthur ... next week at Belmont ... 8f for New York-breds. Someone please point this out to Tagg and Kelly. |

I would like to see a trainer other than Pletcher, Dutrow or Zito when the last really huge race of the meet. Gosh I am sick of those guys. Anybody but them.

It'll be total rain tomorrow. So FC will scratch and who knows who else. They'll seal the track, puddles and mud everywhere. And this is better than poly , which is basically the same rain or shine ?
i had to get that dig in there, lol but it's true |

the horses who invariably get the most respect are those who can win over any type of track....weather is one of many factors.
wanderin boy would be a scratch if it stayed dry, funny will scratch if it's wet. so either way, one of two will be happy. hey, maybe they can concoct polyturf next, never an MTO entry again....

Poor, poor Funny Cide ... once again victimized by the egomaniacal, glory-hungry Sack-o-kaka syndicate. This brave and game ... and once-talented ... gelding belongs ... as I pointed out nearly two years ago ... strictly in New York-bred stakes races ... or ungraded open stakes races at second-tier tracks. But ... I guess once you've had the national spotlight shone on you ... it's difficult to control your overwhelming desire to get back into it ... no matter how embarrassing it is for your horse. Ain't that right, boys? |
