I've often wondered the same thing myself. I definitely wouldn't breed to any of the above if I had a nice mare. There are a ton of nice stallions standing for a much lower fee than those guys. I'm also amazed at the fact that so many of the colts by the above stallions stand stud even if they are duds on the racetrack. IMO, pedigree only takes you so far. It upsets me to see some of the older lines of the breed dying out because of stallions like Storm Cat, etc. For example, the Red God line is getting harder to find as is the Ack Ack line (Broad Brush.) It's disheartening.
