I thought 8-1 was pretty fair on Tejida, put the point is well taken. She opened up at 50-1. Some good money can be made by including AE's that draw in. They're almost always overlaid if there's a big field. This is why I don't understand when people complain that some tracks don't tell you during the scratches that an AE has drawn in. If you just pay attention, you'll be rewarded. I don't want the track reminding everyone to bet on my AE that they may have assumed scratched.

So well said. Making money in racing is about being sharp and taking all the advantages you can. It's not our fault if people do not under the AE draw in rules...more money for us

Same deal went for the #15 horse who finished third and if you boxed them in a tri with some others you are looking at 1000 dollar tri payoff

LOL, those "some others" was a 22-1 horse from the main body of the race that ran second. I think just about any trifecta without Mousse Au Chocolat and with Ashley's River in the middle would've paid well.

Again, I don't think that the 15 or 16 were overlaid much, if at all, in this race, but it's a worthwhile angle for sure.

oh, sorry

I thought we were redboarding

Was at Tampa and had the same bet. I'm NOT redboarding - I can back it up because I haven't cashed it yet - read it and weep

I had the 16 to win and a ex with the 15. When Tejida folded in at the back I thought she was done. I thought she would wire them.

Careful what you post here. People making money and posting it here are not taken kindly. Make posts on making bets and blaming jockeys if you dont win will fit you right in.

I pondered using her off of her race @ Toga where she ran a great 1 and 1/4 until Hostess BLEW past her. I then mulled it over and thought that she would run a carbon copy of her race @ Delaware, getting overtaken midstretch. Couldnt include.

Congrats on those who backed her.

Matz seemed cold at Deleware last year but all of a sudden is cooking up some runners down south. He had a nice second in a earlier turf race at Gulf today as well, an entry I believe was #5 and cruised home second from the way outside. I'm tellin ya - Lezcano and Matz spell money right now.

Matz can never be overlooked on the turf.
