I would have made a back up bet with the 1,3,9 on top if I had any money left in my account
sure I could have deposited more but then it what would be the excuse next time.

saved money

what did it pay $3k+ ?

Bigs had the final PP's that showed the ownership change of Dream Rush from West Point to Minor Stables...Thought that to be pretty significant and clearly while she got it done in classy fashion, not the DR we are used to seeing. Would have loved to have seen the 6 nose up there, but the feature was out of reach on any reasonable spread P4 ticket - all in all great to get racing back home and while we came up a bit short today, had some tickets to cash along the way (rolling DD's party!!!) The BEST meet under the Florida sunshine to get us through the winter is always a lot of fun and we'll get em Wednesday!

And give it up to my man Bigsmc for pulling out Sticky Wicket in the finale at 11-1,... The master of the TBD Maiden Claimers.... Just refer to him as the Hungarian Gentleman from here on out.....

In case anybody was confused on wether the downturn in handle is economy related or ADW related, Tampa has a deal with all of the ADW's and....

Attendance down 472 from last year.

All source handle of $4.54 million UP 16% from last year's opening day. http://www.tampabaydowns.com/Racing/...sReleaseId=245

People still have money to wager, they have nowhere to wager it.

12, 9, 8, 10, 12, 10, 10, 8, 11, 10, 12

not a Morty cipher, but rather the number of runners in each of the races at TBD on Saturday. People want interesting races with full fields and fair tracks, and TB delivers.

CD had some good cards this fall but nobody could bet it.

That last race has bailed my arse out over the years more times than I can possibly count.

Another positive that we can take from opening day is that Wasiluk got his ONE win of the meet already, so everything else he sends out should be an auto-toss for the remainder of the meet
